1. Reclaiming Balance For the last 2,500 years, western civilization
has embraced competition, violence, and war as the ultimate ways to resolve conflicts. We
have created highly polarized environments where “winning” is the primary objective, giving
little thought to the effect our actions have on our world. In truth, we are
slowly killing our planet and her people, and have ended up in this mess because our civilizations are
out of balance. Participants of the Reclaiming Balance workshop
will take an exciting voyage of discovery covering ten thousand years to explore how we lost our cultural
balance and what can be done to reclaim it. The results will surprise you.

2. Fixing Patriarchy The majority of what’s wrong with every aspect of our world today can be linked to the fact that, as a people,
we are out of balance. But we are out of balance because the cultures in which we live are out of balance.
The sad truth is that for the entire history of western civilization, the dominant cultures on our planet have all
been patriarchies and by definition, a patriarchy is not balanced:
Patriarchy: the control by men of a disproportionately large share
of power. (Merriam-Webster.com) In order to fix patriarchy, we need to understand
what is wrong with it. There are dozens and dozens of problems with patriarchy and this workshop will explore
and address ways to fix many of them. Please join me. It’s going to be an interesting
ride.

"I have
had the pleasure of being a student of and sponsoring Vicki Matthews ND as a teacher in multiple settings. She has
a natural ability, supported by her intellect, to take complex information and make it easily understood. She excels
at helping students to feel empowered and enjoy the learning experience. She is thoroughly grounded and knowledgeable
in the content she chooses to teach. I encourage others to take advantage of any opportunity to participate
in a training with Vicki. As a holistic practitioner my skills have been greatly enhanced as a result of my
experiences with Vicki Matthews ND." -J.V., M.Ed, LPCC, OTR/L Psychotherapist

3. Divine Duality This workshop explores the early history of humanity when divinity and spirit were part of the everyday world, as
inseparable from life as air or food. And inherent within divinity in those early times was a sacred balance
between the masculine and feminine principles. Known in the east as yang and yin, these balancing principles
are two sides of the same coin; they are the two faces of divinity and together create a Divine Duality. Our modern world is in the mess it’s in partially because it places far more value on masculine principles
than feminine principles. This workshop covers the good, the bad, and the ugly of our culture and comes
away with a deeper appreciation of the cultural balance we already have and the change that is still desperately needed.
The good news is that once we understand the duality, the path we must travel to reclaim balance becomes apparent.

"Vicki Matthews is a fabulous teacher. She takes obvious delight in
her material, which she knows inside out (and then some), and she shares it with remarkable clarity, warmth, and humor. Vicki
creates a class loaded with fascinating, ready-to-use skills and information, in an environment that guarantees lively exploration.
I have learned more from her than I can begin to describe." -S.B., M.Ed.

4. Redefining Relationships:
Going from “Ow!” to “Wow!” A brief look around tells even the casual observer that our world has serious problems. Yes,
there's pollution, extinction, sustainability, but that's not all. The bigger issue, really, is
that as a species, we humans just can't seem to get along. We are constantly at war someplace.
Murder rates are rising. It seems that at every level, how we relate to
each other is fraught with complications and misunderstandings. This workshop
introduces an ancient and elegant model for understanding why we all behave as we do. With this understanding,
most people are able to see the dynamics of specific relationships at a whole new level. And from this
awareness comes change and happiness. Suddenly, it’s easy to go from a relationship of “Ow!”
to a relationship of “Wow!”
